The e-mark
E-mark is a private certification scheme that certifies webshops to protect consumers.
The e-mark is probably the Danish certification mark with the most credibility among both the public and webshop owners. It is a private organization that, among other things, offers webshop owners legal help and guidance on how their webshop complies with legislation.
Behind the e-label are organizations such as FDIH, the Danish Consumer Council, Dansk Erhverv, FinansDanmark, etc.
When a webshop signs up for the E-label, it must pay an annual fee. E-label lawyers will then approve the webshop and conduct a test purchase to ensure that all formalities are complied with.
When the jurists approve the shop, it receives a label to display on the webshop. This label must be clickable so that consumers can click on it and see a valid certificate on the E-mark website.
