Brevo integration (email marketing)

Guide to setting up Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) as an email marketing platform in Shoporama with automatic synchronization of newsletter subscribers and order data.

Shoporama integrates with Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) so your newsletter subscribers and order data is automatically synced to your Brevo account. This allows you to create targeted email campaigns based on customers' purchase history.

How to set up

  1. Create an account with Brevo if you don't already have one
  2. Get your API key from Brevo under Settings → API keys
  3. Go to Newsletter → Settings in the Shoporama admin
  4. Enter your Brevo API key
  5. Choose which Brevo list to add new subscribers to
  6. Save your settings

Automatic subscriber management

Once the integration is set up, new newsletter subscribers are automatically synchronized to Brevo:

  • Newsletter signup - When a customer signs up for the newsletter via your online store, they are automatically added to the selected Brevo list
  • Auto-subscribe on purchase - You can choose to automatically subscribe customers to the newsletter when they shop
  • Customer data - Name, email, phone and address are synchronized to Brevo

Double opt-in

You can enable double opt-in so that new subscribers have to confirm their subscription via email before being added to the list. This ensures better data quality and complies with GDPR:

  • Select an opt-in template from Brevo (the template must have the tag "optin")
  • Optionally set a page that the customer is redirected to after confirmation

Order synchronization

When a customer completes a purchase, order data is automatically sent to Brevo. This allows you to:

  • Segment customers - Based on purchase history, order amount and product categories
  • Set up automated flows - e.g. welcome emails, post-purchase follow-up or win-back campaigns
  • Track revenue - See exactly which email campaigns are driving sales
  • Calculate customer value - Total number of orders, total spend and average order value

UTM tracking

If you use UTM parameters in your Brevo campaigns, Shoporama automatically records which campaign led to a purchase. This makes it easy to measure the impact of your email campaigns directly in Brevo.
