Create an order from the customer overview
You can create a new order directly from the customer overview. The customer's details are automatically transferred to the order so you don't have to enter them manually.
Here's how you do it
- Go to Customers in Admin.
- Find the customer you want to create an order for.
- Click the shopping cart icon next to the customer.
- A new order is automatically created and you are taken to the order edit page.
- Add products, select shipping method and payment method and save the order.
What is transferred automatically?
The following information is copied from the customer profile to the new order:
- Contact details: email, phone number and company registration number.
- Billing address: company name, name, address, postal code, city and country.
- Shipping address: if the customer has a separate shipping address, this is also copied.
The order is automatically linked to the customer so that it appears in the customer's order history.
