DHL Parcel Shop

Guide to setting up DHL parcel shop as a shipping method in Shoporama. Let customers choose the nearest DHL ServicePoint at checkout.

Shoporama supports DHL parcel shop as a shipping method. When a customer selects DHL ParcelShop at checkout, a list of the nearest DHL ServicePoints is automatically displayed based on the customer's address.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings → Shipping in the administration
  2. Create a new shipping method or edit an existing one
  3. Select DHL as the parcel shop module
  4. Enter name, price and possible weight limit
  5. Save the shipping method

Customer experience

When the customer selects DHL parcel shop during checkout:

  1. Customer enters their shipping address
  2. Shoporama automatically finds the nearest DHL ServicePoints within 15 km
  3. The customer sees a list of up to 15 parcel shops with addresses
  4. The customer selects the preferred parcel shop
  5. The selected parcel shop is saved as the delivery address on the order

Supported locations

Shoporama finds both DHL ServicePoints (manned delivery points) and DHL parcel boxes (automatic boxes). The search automatically adapts to the country the customer selects as the delivery country.

Tracking

You can set up a tracking URL on the shipping method so customers automatically get a link to follow their package. Use %ID% as a placeholder for the tracking number in the URL.

Notifications

You can set up automatic SMS or email notifications to the customer when the order changes to "Ready for pickup" or "Picked up".

Tip to use

DHL parcel shop works with the other parcel shop modules in Shoporama (GLS, PostNord, DAO, etc.) so you can offer more parcel shop options to your customers.
