Before you start

To import products from Magento 2 to Shoporama, you first need to export your products from Magento as a CSV file.

Export from Magento 2

  1. Log in to Magento 2 Admin.
  2. Go to System → Export.
  3. Select Products as the entity type.
  4. Click Continue and download the CSV file.

Import to Shoporama

  1. Go to Products → Import → Import from Magento 2 in Shoporama admin.
  2. Upload your CSV file from Magento.
  3. The system will show you a preview of the products, 50 at a time.
  4. Review the data and click Import to import the displayed batch.
  5. Continue to the next batch until all products are imported.

What is imported?

  • Product name and item number (SKU).
  • Price.
  • Description and short description - HTML is cleaned up automatically.
  • Meta title and meta description.
  • Product URL - transferred as rewrite URL in Shoporama.
  • Images - automatically fetched from Magento in the background after import.
  • Categories - automatically created if they don't exist in Shoporama.
  • Attributes - dropdown attributes and text attributes are imported.

Tips for importing

  • The import runs in batches of 50 products. For large catalogs, this can take some time.
  • Images are imported asynchronously and may take some time to load.
  • Check that your products look correct after import - especially images and categories.
