Settings for transactional emails
How to set when Shoporama automatically sends transactional emails like abandoned baskets, payment reminders and product reviews.
Shoporama can automatically send a series of transactional emails to your customers. You decide when to send them - and they are only sent if the corresponding template file exists in your theme.
To find the settings: Log in to your admin panel, click on the gear (Settings) and then Mails on the left side. Here you set the number of hours for each mail type.
Mail after purchase
After a customer has purchased from you, you can send a follow-up email after a certain number of hours. The template after_purchase.html is used.
The email is suitable for encouraging customers to review your shop on Trustpilot or Facebook. For example, enter 336 hours (14 days) to give the customer time to receive and try the items first.
Abandoned cart email
If a user starts the checkout process and fills in their email address but does not complete the purchase, you can send a reminder email. The basket_mail.html template is used.
This email works with both open and closed baskets.
Unpaid order reminder email
If a customer creates an order but does not complete the payment, you can send an email with a direct link to the payment window. The template payment_mail.html is used.
Product reviews
You can send an email encouraging customers to review the products they have purchased. The product_review_mail.html template is used.
The email contains direct links to the review pages of the products the customer has purchased. This requires that your theme also has the product_review.html template for the review page itself.
Important: Once you have entered the number of hours and clicked "Save", the emails will be sent automatically in the future - provided that the corresponding template file exists in your theme. See a complete overview of all email templates.
