Associate images to a variant

You can assign specific images to a variant so that the correct image is shown when the customer selects a specific color, for example.

How to assign images

1. Go to Products and click Edit on the product
2. Upload all images to the product (all colors/variants)
3. Go to the Variants tab
4. Click on the variant you want to attach images to
5. Select the images that belong to that variant
6. Click Save

When a customer selects a variant (e.g. the color "Red"), the image gallery will automatically switch to show the images associated with the selected variant.

In your theme

Variant images are handled automatically in most themes. If you have a custom theme, you can use:

<{foreach $variant->getImages() as $image}> <img src="<{$image|image:400:400:90}>" alt="<{$product->getTitle()}>"> <{/foreach}>

Tips

• Upload all images first, assign them to variants afterwards
• Use a consistent background on all product images for a professional look
• Images that are not assigned to any variant will appear as default images
