What is Customers 1st?

Customers 1st is a point-of-sale (POS) system that the store uses for in-store sales. It’s an online system, and in addition to handling sales, it keeps track of the store’s products, inventory, customers, and gift cards. Customers 1st abbreviates its name to C1st.

Cash Register and Online Store: Why Inventory Must Be Synchronized

If you have both a physical store and an online store, you often sell from the same inventory. If the last item is sold at the register, it must also be marked as sold on the online store; otherwise, an online customer might purchase an item that’s no longer in stock. That’s why the point-of-sale system and the online store must recognize the same items, and this is typically done via the item number—also known as the SKU—which must be the same in both places. Customers 1st and Shoporama

With Shoporama’s free Customers 1st app, one store in Customers 1st is linked to one warehouse location in Shoporama. Items with the same SKU are linked; missing items are created in the other system; and a sale at the register updates the inventory on the online store, and vice versa.
