Anyday launched in 2020 and in just a few years has grown to be one of Denmark's most used BNPL services. The model is simple: The customer splits the payment into 4 equal installments over 3 months with no fees or interest. For your customers, this is an attractive option on more expensive items. How Anyday works in Shoporama

Anyday is not a standalone gateway. It is a payment method that is activated through QuickPay. When a customer selects Anyday in your checkout:

  1. The customer is sent to Anyday's own flow
  2. Anyday performs a quick credit assessment (typically under 5 seconds)
  3. The customer confirms the 4 installments and creates an Anyday account if they don't have one
  4. Anyday approves, pays you up front via QuickPay, and the customer is through checkout
  5. The order is created in Shoporama with payment status approved and Anyday marked as payment method

You have your money immediately. Anyday collects the 4 installments from the customer over the next 3 months without involving you.

How to get started

  1. Create an agreement with Anyday if you don't already have one. Anyday typically approves in 1 to 3 business days.
  2. Confirm or set up your QuickPay integration. Anyday requires QuickPay as the underlying gateway.
  3. Enable Anyday in your QuickPay configuration as an accepted payment method.
  4. Enable Anyday in Shoporama admin under Settings and payment gateways.
  5. (Optional) Enable the Anyday widget by entering your price token in Shoporama admin.

What you need to be aware of

Three things to know before you go live:

  • Only via QuickPay. Anyday is only integrated via QuickPay on Shoporama. If you use Mollie, Stripe or another gateway, you need to add QuickPay as an additional gateway to get Anyday. You can have multiple gateways active in parallel without any problems.
  • Primarily Danish coverage. Anyday works primarily in the Danish market. If you sell to customers outside of Denmark, Anyday will typically not show up for them.
  • Credit approval may reject the customer. Anyday performs a credit check, and a small percentage of customers may be rejected. It is therefore a good idea to have several payment methods active in parallel, so rejected customers can choose e.g. card or MobilePay.

Frequently asked questions about Anyday in the online shop

What is the difference between Anyday and ViaBill?

Both are Danish BNPL services, but they are structured differently. Anyday always offers 4 installments over 3 months with no fee for the customer. ViaBill lets the customer choose the number of installments (from 2 and up) over longer periods. Many shops offer both in parallel and let the customer choose.

Can I offer both Anyday and ViaBill simultaneously?

Yes, you can. The two BNPL services compete in the same niche, but customers have different preferences. Many shops enable both to maximize conversion.

Do I need to have a separate agreement with Anyday?

Yes, you do. You need to have an agreement directly with Anyday (they are not part of the QuickPay agreement). Anyday will typically contact you after you've expressed interest, or you can sign up directly on anyday.io.

How long does it take to get Anyday live?

The Anyday deal takes 1 to 3 business days to get approved. The technical integration on Shoporama takes 5 to 10 minutes if QuickPay is already set up.

What happens if the customer doesn't pay the installments?

That's Anyday's problem. Anyday has already paid you, so if the customer defaults, Anyday has to collect. You have your money in your account.

How much of a conversion effect does Anyday provide?

Online stores with products over $800 typically see 15 to 30 percent higher conversion on products where the Anyday widget is visible. The effect is especially pronounced in customer segments between 18 and 35 years old.

Can I remove Anyday from specific products?

Yes, you can. You can use payment method restrictions to set rules for which products Anyday appears on. It typically makes sense to remove Anyday from e.g. gift cards or products under 100 DKK.

How do I see if a payment has been made via Anyday?

In the Shoporama admin, Anyday payments are marked explicitly on the order card. You can also filter the order list by payment method to see only Anyday orders. Internally, Anyday payments are logged with a special flag so they are easy to find.

Does Anyday affect my accounting?

Anyday settles just like card payments via QuickPay. In your accounting program, Anyday payments are booked as a regular deposit from QuickPay. If you have a webshop with e-conomic or webshop with Dinero, it integrates automatically.
