SSL / HTTPS on your webshop

Guide to getting an SSL certificate and HTTPS on your Shoporama online store.

All Shoporama webshops come with a free SSL certificate so your shop automatically runs over HTTPS. You don't need to install or configure anything yourself.

Automatic SSL

Shoporama handles SSL certificates automatically for all stores:

  • Free SSL - included in your subscription, no extra cost
  • Automatic renewal - the certificate is renewed automatically, you don't need to do anything
  • HTTPS redirect - all traffic is automatically redirected from HTTP to HTTPS

Own domain

When you connect your own domain, the SSL certificate is created automatically. It can take up to a few hours before the certificate is active.

Troubleshooting

  • "The connection is insecure"? - see our troubleshooting guide
  • Mixed content - if you load images or scripts via HTTP in your theme, change them to HTTPS
  • New domain - after a domain change, it may take some time before SSL is active

Tip to keep in mind

SSL is important for both security and SEO. Google prefers HTTPS pages in search results and visitors see a padlock in the browser address bar.
