Why product reviews are worth their weight in gold
Product reviews are one of the most effective tools for increasing conversion in your online store. When a potential customer can read other people's experiences with a product, it removes uncertainty and makes it easier to make a purchase decision. Studies consistently show that products with reviews sell significantly better than products without.
More text = better SEO
When your customers write reviews, they add valuable, unique text to your product pages. They often use synonyms, describe the product in everyday language and mention usage scenarios that you might never have thought of yourself. All of this gives Google more content to index - and that can significantly improve your ranking in search results.
Stars in search results
With structured data, your reviews can appear as stars directly in Google's search results (SERP). This significantly increases your visibility and click-through rate. In practice, this means more visitors - without you paying a penny extra for it.
Automatic collection of reviews
Shoporama can automatically send an email to your customers after a purchase and ask them to review the products they bought. You choose how many hours or days after the purchase you want the email to be sent - for example, 14 days so the customer has had time to try the product.
You can also send review emails manually to selected customers if you prefer more control over the process.
What is collected?
Shoporama collects the following from each review:
- Stars - a rating from 1 to 5
- Text - the customer's description of the product
- Name - the customer's name (automatically retrieved from the order)
- Date - when the review was written
Full control in the administration
You have full control over all reviews in your administration. You can approve, edit or delete reviews so you're always in control of what appears in your shop. You can also import reviews if you switch from another system.
