In Shoporama, you can choose whether your online store should run with an open or closed cart. Here is a short guide on how to change the setting.

If you're unsure which type is right for your online store, read about the difference between open and closed cart first.

How to change the setting

  1. Log in to your admin panel
  2. Click on the gear(Settings)
  3. Click on the Orders tab
  4. Check or uncheck the box "Keep cart open until order is paid"
  5. Click Save

Important: Open cart usually requires your theme to be customized for it. When you enable open cart, you should check that the checkout page still works properly. If it doesn't, disable open cart again and contact your theme designer to customize the theme.

What happens when you switch?

The change takes effect immediately for new orders. Existing orders in the system are not affected.
