Create country

Guide to creating a new country as a delivery option in your Shoporama online shop.

If you want to sell to more countries, you can create new countries in Shoporama. This affects shipping, VAT and checkout flow.

To create a new country

  1. Click the cog in the top right corner of your admin
  2. Go to Countries
  3. Click Create new country
  4. Select country from the list
  5. Set the VAT and shipping settings for the new country
  6. Click Save

What is affected?

  • Shipping - you need to create shipping options that cover the new country
  • VAT - the VAT rate may be different (e.g. 0% for sales to non-EU countries)
  • Checkout - the new country appears in the country dropdown in checkout

Sell to EU and international

For sales to other EU countries, Danish VAT applies unless you are enrolled in the One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme. For countries outside the EU, the VAT rate is typically 0%.

Important information

Remember to set up shipping options that cover the new country. Without shipping, customers from that country will not be able to complete a purchase.
