Create a discount code

Discount codes are an effective way to attract customers and increase sales. Here's how to create and manage discount codes in Shoporama.

Create a discount code

1. Go to Marketing → Discount codes
2. Click Create discount code
3. Fill in the following fields:

• Code - what the customer needs to enter (e.g. SUMMER20)
• Discount type - percentage or fixed amount
• Value - the amount of the discount
• Expiration date - when the code expires (optional)
• Number of times - how many times the code can be used (optional)

Restrictions

You can limit the discount code to:

• Specific categories - the discount only applies to products in selected categories(read more)
• Minimum order amount - the customer must purchase a certain amount
• One-time use - the code can only be used once per customer

Use in checkout

The customer enters the discount code in the checkout flow. The discount is calculated and automatically shown on the order total.
