Set up Klarna as payment method
Learn how to set up Klarna as a payment method in your Shoporama webshop.
Klarna is a payment solution that allows your customers to pay by invoice, split payment, or pay immediately. In Shoporama, Klarna is set up via your payment gateway.
Prerequisites
- An active payment gateway that supports Klarna (e.g. QuickPay, PensoPay or OnPay)
- A Klarna agreement - create one at klarna.com
Set up
- Create a Klarna Merchant agreement at Klarna
- Connect Klarna to your payment gateway. This is done in your gateway dashboard (e.g. QuickPay Manager under "Acquirers")
- Go to Settings > Payment in Shoporama
- Activate Klarna as a payment method under your gateway
- Save the settings
Klarna payment methods
Depending on your agreement with Klarna, your customers can choose between:
- Pay now - The customer pays immediately by card or bank transfer
- Pay later - Customer pays by invoice within 14-30 days
- Split payment - Customer pays over several months
Important information
- Klarna handles credit assessment and risk - you get the money regardless
- Contact your payment gateway if you have any issues with the Klarna integration
- Klarna fees depend on your agreement directly with Klarna
