With the Address & Map module, you can display your physical store's address along with an interactive map directly on your webshop. It's ideal for an "About us" page, a contact page, or the front page, so customers can easily see where to find you.

Best of all, the module requires no Google Maps API key, no account, and no payment. You just type in your address and the map appears automatically. The module is part of Page Designer and is available in the Delaware, DelawareDK, and Montana themes.

How to add Address & map

  1. Go to Page Designer and open (or create) the page setup you want to edit, for example your "About us" page.
  2. Add a new block and select Address & Map from the list of block types, just like you would select Hero, Text, or Newsletter.
  3. Type your address in the address field, e.g. Storegade 12, 8722 Hedensted.
  4. Select layout, zoom level, and height as needed and save.

The map will find the location based on the address. You can always preview the page via the preview link in Page Designer before publishing.

Two ways to display the map

You can choose between a quick and a precise method:

  • Type the address (recommended): Simply fill in the address field and the map will automatically find the location. Quick and requires no setup.
  • Insert your own embed code (advanced): If you want a precise marker, you can use the "Custom embed code" field. Go to Google Maps, find your location, select Share, then Embed a map and copy the HTML code into the field. If you fill in this field, your code will be used instead of the automatic address search.

Settings

  • Heading: An optional heading above the block, e.g. "Find us" or "Visit the store".
  • Address: Appears as plain text on the page and is also used to find the location on the map. You can write it over multiple lines.
  • Extra info: A rich text field for e.g. opening hours, phone number, or short directions. Appears below the address.
  • Layout: Map to the right, map to the left, or full-width map only.
  • Zoom level: Close (street), normal (neighborhood), or overview (city).
  • Map height: Low, medium, or high.
  • Show directions link: If you enable this, a "Get directions" link will appear that opens Google Maps with the route to your address.

Good for your local visibility

Because the address appears as plain text on the page, it's both good for search engines (local SEO) and easy for customers to highlight and copy. If you have several physical stores, you can add multiple Address & Map blocks on the same page so that each store has its own map.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost and do I need to create an account with Google?

It costs nothing and you don't need to create an account or an API key. You add the block, enter your address and the map will appear automatically.

Where do I find the module?

You can find it in the Page Designer where you build your pages. Add "Address & Map" as a block in the same way as Hero, Text, or Newsletter.

Can I put the map on all my pages?

Yes, you can. The block can be selected on all page types, such as front page, static pages, landing pages, category, product, and blog. You are not bound to have it only on the contact page.

The stick misses the mark a bit. Can I make it precise?

Yes, you can. Use the "Custom embed code (advanced)" field. Go to Google Maps, select Share, then Embed a map and copy the HTML code. This will make the map hit the spot.

Does the map work on mobile?

Yes, the map is responsive and adapts to mobile automatically. You can choose the map height low, medium or high depending on how much space you want it to take up.

Can I show opening hours and phone number next to the map?

Yes, you enter this in the "Extra info" field, which is a rich text field. Here you can freely enter opening hours, phone number, or short directions.

Can customers get directions directly from the site?

Yes, they can. Turn on "Show directions link" and a "Get directions" link will appear that opens Google Maps with the route to your address.

Can I show multiple stores?

Each block shows one address. If you have multiple stores, simply add multiple Address & Map blocks on the same page so that each store has its own map with its own header, address, and extra info.
