Claude (AI assistant)
Claude is an AI assistant from Anthropic. It works like ChatGPT but is built with security and reliability in mind. With Shoporama's built-in MCP connection, Claude can control your online store by chatting in Danish.
What is Claude?
Claude is an AI assistant developed by the American company Anthropic. It was first released in 2023 and, along with ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Gemini (Google), is among the most widely used AI chatbots in the world.
While ChatGPT is known for its breadth and speed, Claude has become known for being particularly good at complex tasks, long texts, and understanding nuances in language—including in Danish.
Claude and Shoporama
Shoporama is integrated with Claude via an open standard called MCP (Model Context Protocol). This means you can connect your Shoporama online store to Claude and let the AI perform actions directly in the store: create products, run campaigns, update the homepage, retrieve statistics, adjust shipping rates, and much more. Claude has over 200 tools to work with, and you decide for each area whether Claude can read and edit, read only, or have no access at all.
Shoporama is approved and listed in Claude’s connector library, so you can connect your store by finding Shoporama in the library and clicking “Connect”—no need to copy an address. Claude vs. ChatGPT
The two AIs are very similar in terms of usage. Differences:
- Language: Claude handles Danish particularly well, both in understanding and writing
- Long texts: Claude can handle much longer context than ChatGPT
- MCP: Claude fully supports MCP, while ChatGPT only partially supports it
- Price: Both offer a free tier and paid plans
Security and Privacy
