Create a new shipping option
Guide to creating new shipping options and assigning them to countries in Shoporama.
To create multiple shipping options, you need to go through three steps
- Create the shipping option
- Assign the shipping option to a country
- Set a price for the shipping option
Here you can see how to do this:
Create the shipping option
- Click on the cogwheel
- Click "Shipping" in the horizontal line that appears
- Click the gray button "Create new shipping option"
- Now give the shipping option a name. For example, it could be "GLS with delivery"
- You can also fill in the tracking URL. This is the address where the user can follow their package if it has track'n'trace. Where the user's track'n'trace number is, enter %ID%. You can see an overview of track'n'trace numbers here.
- In the "Shipping module" dropdown, select whether the shipping method should use a parcel shop module.
- If the shipping method is VAT-free, you can check "VAT-free".
- If you want the user to receive an email when the order is shipped, check "Send email to recipient when item is shipped"
- If you never want the shipping method to be free, you can check "Never free shipping".
- Then click "Save"
Your shipping method is now created, but we still need to check which countries it should be available for. This is the next step
Assign the shipping option to a country
- Click on the gear and then "Countries" in the horizontal line.
- Click the edit icon next to the country you want to assign your new shipping option to
- Under "Shipping options", make sure to select your new shipping option.
- Then click "Save".
Set the price of the shipping option
Last but not least, we need a price for your shipping option. You do this as follows:
- Click on the gear
- Click on "Shipping prices"
- Here you enter the price next to your new shipping option.
- Click "Save"
You now have a new shipping option in your shop.
Note that your template may only be set to show one shipping option, or that the option to select a parcel shop has not been coded into your template. If this is the case, please contact support and we will explain what is missing.
