Shopejer

When you edit a product in Shoporama, you open a page with a wide range of sections that together control everything from prices and images to SEO, inventory and environmental data. This guide will walk you through each section so you know exactly what each field does.

General information

The first section contains the most basic product information:

  • Name - the title of the product, which appears in the shop and in search results.
  • Description - a rich text editor with the option to use the AI assistant to generate or improve the text.
  • Address (URL) - the product URL slug. A good address is short, descriptive and uses only lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.
  • Suggested pricePrice - the normal price of the product. Appears either with or without VAT depending on your shop setting. There is a small calculator button that can add or remove VAT.
  • Offer price - an optional discounted price. When filled in, this is shown as the current price and the normal price is swiped through.
  • Cost price - the purchase price without VAT. Used to calculate profit margin and inventory value.
  • Supplier - select the supplier the product comes from.
  • Brand - select the brand the product belongs to.
  • Online/offline - determines if the product is visible in the shop.
  • Shipping price - an individual shipping price for the product if it differs from the general shipping price.
  • Weight - the weight of the product, used for shipping calculations.

SEO fields and shortcodes

The product has meta title and meta description fields used by search engines. These fields support dynamic shortcodes that are automatically replaced with current values:

  • [PRICE] - price incl. VAT
  • [PRICE_EX_VAT] - the price without VAT
  • [NAME] - the product name
  • [STOCK] - quantity in stock
  • [SUPPLIER] - the supplier name
  • [BRAND] - the brand name
  • [YEAR] - the current year
  • [FREESHIPPING] - free shipping amount

A live Google preview will be shown, updating as you type, so you can see how the product will appear in search results.

Extensions (from the theme)

If your theme defines additional product fields (extensions), they are shown here. These can be fields to control layout, badges or other theme-specific functionality.

Images

Upload product images in PNG, JPEG or WebP format. You can upload multiple images at a time and you can drag and drop to change the order. The first image is used as the main image.

Categories

Choose which categories to display the product in. You can select multiple categories and you can mark one category as the primary one (used for breadcrumbs and canonical URL).

Labels

Assign product labels to the product. Labels can be used to filter and group products in the administration and can be displayed as badges in the shop.

Inventory management

Here you manage inventory related information:

  • SKU - your own item number. The system warns if the same SKU is used on multiple products.
  • Secondary SKU - an alternative item number.
  • GTIN - barcode (EAN/UPC). Important for Google Shopping.
  • MPN - the manufacturer's part number.
  • Location in stock - a free text to indicate where the item is physically located.
  • Delivery time - e.g. "1-2 days".
  • Delivery time when out of stock - alternative delivery time shown when the stock level is 0.

Profile and variants

Each product is linked to a profile. The profile defines which variants (e.g. size, color) the product has. You can:

  • View and edit prices per variant
  • Add new variants directly from the product page
  • Change profile (warning: this will remove stock entries if profiles have variants)

Quantity discount

Set up price reduction based on quantity. For example "Buy 5 or more and save 10%". Prices are set per variant if the product has variants with prices.

Bundle packages

Create a bundle by attaching other products. When the customer buys the bundle, stock is deducted from the associated products. You can search for products and add them to the bundle.

Credit etc.

This section only appears if the profile is marked as financial. Here you can:

  • Credit to date - postpone capture of payment to a specific date in the month.
  • Credit in days - postpone capture for a specific number of days.
  • Credit to specific date - postpone capture to a fixed date.
  • Voucher - turn the product into a gift card that creates a unique discount code upon purchase.

Extra fields

Extra fields are defined on the product profile and can be used for everything from Google Shopping attributes to custom data. For example, you can create fields for material, color, gender or similar.

Internal search

Add optional keywords to help customers find the product via the shop's search function. Enter one word per line. You can also choose to ignore the product completely in the search.

Related products

Add related products that appear on the product page ("Other customers also bought" etc.). You can search for products and add them. There is also a section for similar products and inversely related products (products that have this product as related).

Files

Upload files (e.g. user manuals, datasheets) to the product. The files can be made available to customers on the product page.

Subscription settings

If your shop supports subscriptions, here you can set a special subscription price and set minimum hours from order to delivery.

VAT

Set a specific VAT group for the product if it deviates from the standard VAT (e.g. food with reduced VAT).

Environment etc. (EPR / GPSR)

Register environmental data for the product that can be used for EPR reporting:

  • Packaging - enter weight in grams per material (paper/cardboard, plastic, metal, glass, wood, other).
  • WEEE (electronics) - category, weight and producer information for electronic waste.
  • Batteries - type, weight and chemical composition.

See also the article Safety Profiles (GPSR) for more on product safety.

Price monitoring

If you have price monitoring set up, here you can automatically adjust the price of the product based on competitors' prices. Set an amount to subtract from the lowest price and set a minimum and maximum price.

Save options

At the bottom of the page you will find several ways to save the product:

  • Save - saves and goes back to the product list.
  • Save and continue editing - saves and stays on the edit page.
  • Delete product - deletes the product (requires confirmation).
  • Save and view - saves and opens the product in the shop (under "More options").
  • Save and add items - saves and goes to stock addition (under "More options").
  • Save and add new product - saves and creates a new product (under "More options").

Tip to use

Use the keyboard shortcut Cmd+S (Mac) or Ctrl+S (Windows) to quickly save the product without clicking.

Navigation

At the top of the page you will find links to stock movement, page setup (if your shop has page builder) and show product in shop. On the right side there is a sidebar with shortcuts to the different sections.
